Re-grading following red circling reviews
Staff who are red circled were offered a Personal Development Plan with the support of a named person in the department (normally the supervisor). This is to assist them in reaching the full potential of the job and/or to maximise their own personal potential.
The first review should be held six months after the Personal Development plan was set. Thereafter, reviews should be held annually.
If, following a review, it is considered that regrading is now a possibility, it will normally be carried out through the promotion procedures. In a few instances it may be necessary for representatives of both the department and Human Resources to assess the job through job grading. This should be discussed with the department´s customary HR Adviser.
