Overview

The Academic Unit of Diabetes, Endocrinology & Metabolism is located on E floor in the medical school. The Unit occupies a suite of rooms and laboratories with excellent facilities for tissue culture and molecular biology and ready access to number of Core Services such as Micro-array technology, DNA sequencing, Real-Time and Flow Cytometry. There are a total of 10 academic staff, postdocs, students, technical and clerical staff providing a vibrant atmosphere for research and teaching. The unit is connected to the Royal Hallamshire Hospital granting access to a number of Core Services such as the Clinical Research Facility. The current Academic Head of the Unit is Professor Richard Ross.
