Eligibility
Please note that our meeting rooms are only available free of charge to people working within ICOSS and to other staff/groups from the Faculty of Social Science. Priority is given to these users. Other guests from within the University or visitors from external organisations may book rooms for a fee (call for details).
Making a Booking
To book any of the meeting rooms shown above please complete a Meeting Room Request Form. These are downloadable from this page (see right) or can be obtained from ICOSS Reception.
Please return completed forms to Angie Maskrey (0114 22 28340, a.maskrey@sheffield.ac.uk) at Reception. Any questions you might have about ICOSS facilities or room bookings should also be directed to Angie.
You will receive confirmation of your booking subject to eligibility and availability.
Payment: If you are from outside the University, once you've confirmed your booking you can pay for the room hire using our online store. Go to the ICOSS section and choose the appropriate room and rate.
Housekeeping
Meeting rooms should be left as they were found – if you move any items of furniture please replace them afterwards. Food is NOT allowed in any of the meetings rooms.
Catering
The administrative team do not make catering arrangements for events. Any catering requirements must be dealt with by those organising the meeting, through the University or approved caterers. Organisers are responsible for receipt of food, unless other arrangements have been agreed beforehand.
Using the Access Grid Node or Video Conferencing
Please note that use of the Access Grid Node (AGN) in the Boardroom will also require the presence of a trained technician. Please contact Mark Wainwright (IT Officer) for details of technician availability before making a booking. For more information about the AGN please see the link on the right.
Similarly, use of the video-conferencing system in the Conference Room may require assistance from a technician, so availability should be checked with Mark Wainwright before making a booking.
If you have a booking to use the Access Grid or Video-conferencing system, please ensure you supply connection details (list of remote parties, virtual venue/IP addresses to be used, contact details of other parties, etc) to your technician well in advance of the meeting.
