Social Theory Reading Group
The Theory Reading Group is an opportunity to find out about the theoretical resources used by colleagues across the Faculty - and to introduce other people to your own favourites, the golden oldies and the latest discoveries. The group is an informal meeting place where the pleasures and challenges of theory can be shared - and where some of the knottier pieces of theoretical writing can be unravelled in a supportive environment. We meet about once a month, between 4 pm and 6 pm. The day varies according to individuals' timetables. Only one article or book chapter will be discussed per month in a bid to make this an achievable goal among the many competing demands on our time.
