About Us

The Academic Unit of Respiratory Medicine is a highly cohesive grouping that combines internationally competitive interdisciplinary research in innate immunity with clinical research in respiratory disease.  Our Research Groups form the core of our research activities and consist of principal investigators with complementary research interests.  Furthermore, the fusion of clinicians and basic scientists underpins our belief that working together creates a unique and exceptional platform on which to develop transitional research.  The unit has a wide-ranging collaborative network, both within the University and internationally, creating a dynamic working environment.
