Arab Society
The Arab Society´s aim is get all the Arab students in the University together and to introduce Arab culture to the University. The society fully participates in the events organised by the University´s International Student Committee including the annual International Food Evening where in 2004 the society won the "Best Food" category.
The Arab Society is open to all students and organises many events through the year including:
- regular socials/gatherings in Sheffield
- sport events such as football, volleyball, snooker including sports for women
- charity work for children in Iraq, Palestine and Sudan.
The Society also organises meetings for its members during Ramadan and organises celebrations for Eid Alfater and Eid Al-Adha
