When I started thinking of studying in the UK the first thing I thought of was the ranking of the university that I´m looking to study at. What really attracted me to The University of Sheffield is that, besides the high ranking among other UK and international universities, and that exactly what I was looking for, I actually found much more than what I hoped for in the university and in the glorious city of Sheffield.
After I applied to study at the university, it was not long before the people from the International Office and the academic department kindly responded to my application and sent me very helpful information about studying here and the accommodation services that the university offers for international students.
Before I came here I met people from the University´s International Office back in Tripoli and I was so pleased because they gave me a clear idea on how to go on with my application and how to come to and live in Sheffield.
Now I´m doing a masters degree in Human Nutrition Department and the course materials are so valuable. It is one of few courses accredited by the Nutrition Society in the UK and I hope after this course that I will do my PhD in the same department.
The people of Sheffield, especially in the university, are so kind and helpful and the living here is so nice and easy. Personally, I can´t ask for more, an excellent university with high standards and a beautiful peaceful city with nice views and shopping centres. Sheffield is really a green city with all meanings of life and beauty.
