Student Societies for Iranian students

Persian Society

The Persian Society of the University of Sheffield is a place to gather all Persian and also non-Persian students who are interested in the culture and country. The aim of the society is to promote Persian culture and celebrate national and traditional Iranian events as well as organising social activities.

Beside these National Events the society also organises Iranian nights with Persian dance music and Persian food. The society also participates in the annual University 'Global Flavas' Festival by preparing traditional Persian dishes for students from all over the world.

Iranian Society

The Iranian Society aims to bring together all Iranian students and scholars at the University of Sheffield who are interested in Persian /Iranian culture and values. Through a variety of social and cultural activities organised and run on national and Islamic occasions throughout the year, the Society promotes awareness of the Iranian culture and its Islamic values.

Iranian Children's Education Society

The aim of the Iranian Children´s Education Society is to help children of Farsi speaking students of the University continue their Iranian education during their stay in Sheffield. All children passed formal Iranian school tests with high marks last year.
