The cost of undergraduate study in 2009/10 for `home/EU´ students is £3,225 per academic year.
Funding for EU undergraduate students
EU undergraduate students are normally eligible to apply for a tuition fee loan from the UK government, depending on certain eligibility requirements. The loan will cover the cost of your tuition fees whilst you are studying and is repayable once you have finished studying and are earning a `graduate´ salary which is set by the UK government.
New full-time students who apply for their course through UCAS by July will be sent an application form for student finance automatically.
The loan does not normally cover your living costs unless you have been living in the UK for the last three years and you will be expected to be support yourself whilst you are studying at The University of Sheffield.
The following link provides detailed information about the loan, including information about applying for the loan and eligibility criteria. This link will open in a new window.

Fee Status
Students are charged different fees depending on whether they are classed as home/EU or overseas for fee purposes. The main criterion for home/EU status is; that you are an EU national and have been resident in the UK, EU/EEA for 3 years by 1 September of the year of entry; and that residence is not solely for the main purpose of receiving full-time education.
In most cases, status for fee purposes will be clear, but if there is any doubt it is essential that you refer to the Admissions Officer for a ruling. In particular, commitments on the level of tuition fees to be charged should not be made without prior consultation with the Admissions Service.
