Sonal's Web Diary

Happy New Year!! I wish you all a happy and prosperous 2011 and a great year ahead.

This was my first New Year celebration in Sheffield and away from my family. I was fortunate enough to have a few good friends staying here over the holidays, so we rang in the New Year together with a toast and good music.

Unfortunately with the coming of 2011 also brings with it my 3b examinations, which are now less than 2 weeks away. As I looked at the daunting list of revision items I made for myself I realised that this exam was testing our memory and understanding of the last 4 years of our medical course. 2011 is certainly bringing challenges, but the best way to meet a challenge is head on. The next job on my list was to prepare for my job interview and ranking all my potential foundation jobs which is also 3 weeks away. However, there is no point in worrying about future events when there is already a task in front. With that thought in mind I decided to hit the books and worry about exams first. After those were over, then I could concentrate on my interview and ranking the jobs.

I know many students will be having exams during January and February so let us all be respectful and remember that even if our exams are over, other students are still studying. Good luck to all students who have exams and essays during this coming period.
