Leading employers scout for region’s top graduates

The careers services at the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University will be joining forces once again to host the ever-popular Yorkshire Autumn Graduate Recruitment Fair on Tuesday 30 and Wednesday 31 October 2007.

Now in its seventh year the fair will be held at the University of Sheffield’s Octagon Centre, Western Bank, and will open from 10.30am to 4.00pm each day. The fair is a prestigious two day event and is firmly established as one of the most popular and high-profile graduate recruitment fairs in the academic calendar. Featuring many leading recruiters, the fair is an ideal opportunity for students to come face to face with employers and to access up-to-date information about summer internships, work placements and the graduate job market from those in the know.

With a wide variety of exciting opportunities available, the Yorkshire Autumn Graduate Recruitment Fair really is a must see for all those students serious about achieving their aims in the working world after university life. The fair is also recognised as the perfect event for organisations and employers to meet high flying students to fill their graduate vacancies, summer internships and work placements.

Michelle Dexter, Fairs Manager, said: “Over 4,500 visitors and 100 exhibitors attended last year making the event one of the most popular careers fairs with both students and employers alike.”

She added: “We try to accommodate many different areas of the graduate jobs market as seen in the scope of this year’s exhibitor list, which includes PricewaterhouseCoopers, Tesco, the Civil Service, The Co-operative Group, NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme, HSBC and Cargill, as well as many other dynamic organisations offering graduate positions and placement opportunities.”
