Sonal Web Diary Freshers Week

Freshers Week officially started on Saturday the 22nd of September. I remember the hustle bustle of moving in and all the running around I had to do. It is interesting to be on the other side of it. This year I am working for the Union handing out Intro Week Guides, information on the Union, Union nights and answering any questions you might have.

I cast my mind back to see if I could remember these people giving me flyers, and to be honest, I received so many that I lost track of where I got what. I glanced over the many flyers I had and found it was a good way to familiarise myself with the Union and the facilities it has to offer. I learnt about SSiD, CICS, the many societies and activities and just in general about the different Union shops, bars and nights.

A book I still find to be very useful is called the Student Directory. This not only contains information on the city centre and the University but also contains many coupons for various clubs, restaurants and shops. Put these coupons to good use as many of them expire soon in September/October.

If you see my wandering around in a green t-shirt with flyers and leaflets please feel free to come ask me anything and I will do my best to help you :)
