These are open to you, throughout your time with us, and a team of designated professionals are available to answer any questions and queries you may have. We are here to help you!

Typical services include:

Personal tutor

All students have a designated personal tutor within their academic department that they can speak to about any questions or problems that may be affecting their studies.

You will normally meet with your tutor at least twice a semester and at any other time you wish.

International Student Support Services

The University's International Student Support Services are here to help with a wide range of student related activities including academic, financial, immigration, personal and social issues.

There are three specially trained immigration advisers who can provide information and answers to any questions you might have before your arrival in Sheffield. Their services are open to all international students during their time here in Sheffield.

The Union's Student Advice Centre provides information, advice and representation on all issues affecting students during their time at university.

Student health and well-being

The University's Health Service is a fully comprehensive service providing general medical care.

The University Counselling Service is available to help with any difficulties such as worries about academic work, personal relationships, exam panic, depression and anxiety.

The confidential service is run by trained counsellors.
