Finding the University of Sheffield

First use the University Maps and Travel Advice pages to find your way to the city and the University, then use the information below to find your way to the Information School, here at Regent Court.

Finding the Information School

The Information School is located in Regent Court, on the eastern side of the University campus. Regent Court is building number 166, square G3, on the University Campus Map

The entrance to Regent Court is on Portobello, opposite St George's Church Lecture Theatre. Please note that entering "S1 4DP" into Google Maps returns location on Regent Street, just round the corner from the entrance! On the map below, the entrance to Regent Court is on Portobello, just to the right of its junction with Regent Street.

Walk into Regent Court through the brick archway, then turn LEFT across the quad. Enter through the glass doors and come up the 2nd Floor, where you will find the Information School Reception.

Visiting the Information School by Car

Car parking is limited around the University. There is a small number of parking spaces along Regent Street, and a larger public car park at the junction of Fitzwilliam Street and Devonshire Street (at the bottom of the above map).

Visiting the Information School by Train

If you arrive in Sheffield by Train, the Information School is around half an hour's walk from Sheffield Station. Alternatively, there is a taxi rank at the station entrance, or you can catch the Supertram.

Supertram from Sheffield Station

The Supertram runs directly from Sheffield Train Station to West Street, just around the corner from Regent Court. Travel time is around 10 minutes and one journey costs around £1.20.

For the return journey, ensure that you take the Blue route (bound for Halfway) back to the station – NOT the Yellow route (bound for Meadowhall).
