Student Course Evaluation

During weeks 10-12 of each semester you will be asked to complete a Module Evaluation Questionnaire for each module you have taken. The questionnaires will be made available during a relevant module session, and you will be asked to complete and submit the evaluation form before you leave. In addition, at the end of Semester 2 you will be asked to complete a Programme Evaluation Questionnaire. This questionnaire will be downloadable from the Departmental Website and from the Community section on MUSE, and will be available from the Departmental reception. The Programme Evaluation Questionnaire must be completed and submitted with your coursework for: INF103 Information and Communication Networks in Organisations (Level 1 students); INF201 Information Management in the Learning Organisation (Level 2 students); or INF333 Information Management and Strategy (Level 3 students). In order to maintain anonymity, the evaluation questionnaire will be separated from your coursework on receipt.

As a thank you for completing the evaluation forms, all Module and Programme questionnaires submitted by the end of Week 12 in each Semester are eligible to be entered into a prize draw to win £25 worth of book tokens. If you would like to enter the prize draw, please add your name and registration number to the questionnaire before submission. This information will be detached from the questionnaire, and will only be used for the purposes of the prize draw.

Please note that all questionnaires are processed and analysed anonymously and all evaluation forms are treated as strictly confidential.

The Department of Information Studies relies upon the feedback of students in order to monitor and develop the content and teaching of our programmes. Once collated, the anonymised questionnaire results are circulated to each module and programme coordinator for review and comment. The student comments and coordinator responses are then reviewed by Teaching Committee, and amendments to modules/programmes actioned accordingly. A summary of the questionnaire results is also reviewed by the Departmental Staff/Student Committee, and a copy of the summary made available to all students.
