Before completing an application for any University Scholarship, you must first have applied to study at the University and received an application number. Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis - applications are assessed on the basis of academic success and qualifications, experience, research background, a clear well-articulated research proposal, the potential impact of the research and a good match with supervisor/departmental expertise.

Applicants are advised to apply well in advance of the deadline, and to contact a relevant member of academic staff to discuss their proposed research before submitting an application.
