Entry requirements
Applicants to our standard postgraduate degrees are normally expected to have at least a second class honours undergraduate degree (2:2) or equivalent, in any subject discipline.
In addition, applicants to the MA in Librarianship programme would normally be expected to have had a year of practical experience in a library, information unit, or other information-related organisation. For applicants to all other programmes, previous work experience would be advantageous, but candidates without such experience will be given equal consideration.
Professional Enhancement Programmes
Our Professional Enhancement Programmes are open to applicants with
- at least 2 years' relevant work experience, and an undergraduate degree in librarianship/information studies/information systems or an undergraduate degree in any subject area together with an acceptable relevant professional qualification.
- an undergraduate degree in another subject area, and at least 5 years' relevant work experience.
Applicants without an undergraduate degree but who have other qualifications and substantial relevant work experience may be considered for entry onto the Postgraduate Certificate or Postgraduate Diploma programmes.
