Entry Requirements

Typical offers made for the BSc in Information Management (P110) are:

  • GCE/VCE A Levels - BBB
  • Two GCE A Levels plus two GCE AS Levels - BB + BB
  • Scottish Highers - ABBB
  • Irish Leaving Cert. - ABBBB
  • BTEC National Diploma - 2 Distinctions and 1 Merit
  • International Baccalaureate - 32 points
  • Core Requirements - GCSE Grade C in Mathematics

Typical offers made for the BA in Accounting & Financial Management/Information Management (NP41) are:

Typical offers made for the BA in Business Management/Information Management (NP21) are:

  • GCE/VCE A Levels - ABB
  • Two GCE A Levels plus two GCE AS Levels - AB+BB
  • Scottish Advanced / Highers - B/AAA
  • Irish Leaving Cert. - AABBB
  • BTEC National Diploma - 2 Distinctions and 1 Merit
  • International Baccalaureate - 33 points
  • Core Requirements - Grade B in Mathematics at GCSE A Level or equivalent

There is no specific subject requirement for entry to the programmes. However:

  • it is a University entry requirement that all applicants have an acceptable English language qualification (at least grade C in GCSE English or equivalent)
  • at least two A-levels should be of an academic nature
  • AS-levels are only included in an offer if they are taken at the same time as A-levels
  • we are likely to exclude in the offer a language if we think that you are a native speaker of that language

If you do not have one of the more common qualifications mentioned above, we look for success on a recent Access course. We welcome applications from mature students. English Language Requirements

In addition to the standard entry requirements, applicants whose first language is not English are required to provide documentary evidence of English Language competence (IELTS minimum overall score of 6.5, with scores of at least 6.0 in the writing and speaking components and scores of at least 5.5 in the reading and listening components or TOEFL minimum score 575 (paper-based score)/232 (computer-based score) with a score of at least 5.0 in written English).

Applicants are not normally interviewed, but all those offered a place are invited to an Open Day to meet members of staff, hear more about the programmes and see the facilities.
