Research Centres

Research centres may be based within a Department, or may exist across several Departments. There are two research centres based within the Department of Information Studies;

• CILR: Centre for Information Literacy Research
• CPLIS: Centre for the Public Library and Information in Society

The Department takes a leading role in the running of the following inter-Departmental research centres (links will open in a new window):

• CHIMR: Centre for Health Information Management Research (led by the Department of Information Studies)
• CILASS: Centre for Inquiry Based Learning in the Arts and Social Sciences
• ICOSS: Informatics Collaboratory for the Social Sciences
