Dr. Guo Chao (Alex) Peng holds a BSc in Information Management and a PhD in Information Systems, both from the Sheffield iSchool. He is a Lecturer in Information Systems and a key member of the Information Systems and Knowledge and Information Management research groups. Dr. Peng is the co-founder and co-chair of the IADIS Information Systems Post-Implementation and Change Management (ISPCM) Conference. He has published regularly in the IS field in high-quality international journals, books and refereed international conferences. He also serves as a reviewer for more than 15 leading international journals and international conferences. Dr. Peng has consulting experience in ERP implementation, usage and exploitation in leading private companies and state-owned enterprises in China.

Teaching

My teaching is in the field of Information Systems (IS) in general and with a particular focus on IS development, IS project management and risk management, and organisational use and exploitation of IS. I also supervise undergraduate and Master's dissertations, as well as PhD theses, in these areas. In order to enhance student engagement and enjoyment, I constantly applied active learning techniques in my teaching activities, which therefore consist of not only lectures but also practical problem-solving components, highly interactive seminars, computer lab practical sessions, and tutorials.
