BA in Business Management and Informatics

UCAS Code: NP21, Programme code MGTU17

Prepare yourself for a career in business with two key disciplines vital to today's employers. Brand new for 2012, this Dual Honours course is taught jointly by the Information School and the Management School and incorporates elements of each School´s modules.

Informatics

Information is the lifeblood of any organisation, from huge multinationals to small businesses, from national governments to charities. And in today's digital world, employers need experts who can use, manage and design 'digital interfaces', such as websites, intranets and databases, and who can use digital information sources, the Internet and even social networks to communicate with the wider world. This expertise is called Informatics, the science of information in the digital world.

Business Management

Alongside this, you will learn the vital core skills of the business manager, including economics, management theory, and employee behaviour; skills rooted in a long-standing academic discipline, and delivered at the cutting edge of current theory by the University's Management School.
