Masters courses entry requirements
You should have, or expect to obtain, a good degree (UK classified as 2:1) or an alternative qualification approved by the University as degree equivalent.
We are happy to consider applications from mature students.
It is essential that all students are proficient in written and spoken English to enable them to follow adequately their chosen course. Overseas students must be able to provide evidence that they have an acceptable English language qualification.
The required English language standard is:
- For Broadcast and Journalism Studies (Broadcast)
IELTS: minimum overall score of 7.5 with at least 7.5 in each element - For Print Journalism and Magazine Journalism
IELTS: minimum overall score of 7.5 with at least 7.0 in each element - For Web Journalism, Journalism Studies (Web), International Political Communication and Global Journalism
IELTS minimum 7.0 overall score with at least 7.0 in the writing element
