Muhammad Jameel Yusha'u

Muhammad Jameel Yusha'u has a degree in Mass Communications from Bayero University, Kano (2002) M.A Political Communication from Sheffield University (2005) and currently completing his PhD in Journalism Studies (political communication) also in the Department of Journalism Studies, University of Sheffield. Jameel started his working career as a primary school teacher between 1995 & 1997, freelancer with radio Kano(FM) from 2000-2003, Graduate Assistant, Bayero University, Kano 2003-2006, Assistant lecturer 2006-date. He has also worked as the British Correspondent for the Hausa Service of Radio Deutsche Welle between 2005-2008, and has an experience as a producer with the Hausa Service of the BBC World. Jameel Has presented his research at various international conferences including the International Communication Associtaion, ICA, San Francisco (2007), Media Communication and Cultural Studies Association Post-graduate Network MECCSA-PGN, (2007), International Association of Media and Communication research IAMCR, Stockholm, (2008), and the American Political Science Association Preconference in Political Communication, JFK School of Government, Harvard University (2008).
