Journalism Symposium
Reflexivity in the Digital World:
Rethinking journalism teaching and learning in an interactive world
ICOSS, University of Sheffield, March 21st, 2012
Presentation: Digital and interactive technologies have revolutionised the way people use and consume media content in the past two decades. As a result, traditional ways of practising journalism and delivering news have been challenged and in some cases have struggled to keep up with these changes and survive in a rapidly changing society. The question to journalism educators is: to what degree have educational provisions been able to deliver the knowledge and skills needed to face these changes? This one day symposium offers a platform to share expectations and experiences with regards to the future of journalism education in a digital world. The best contributions will be published in a special issue of the peer-reviewed journal Journalism Education .
This is an open and free event, but registration is recommended.
