Kate Betts

Kate Betts has been a journalist for more than 20 years, working in newspapers, radio, TV and PR.

She now works as a media consultant to organisations including the fire service, police, NHS, local councils, charities and small businesses.

She also works as freelance writer and radio journalist, with features appearing on BBC Radio 4´s "Woman´s Hour" and "You & Yours". She produced and presented a half-hour documentary for Radio 4 called "After the floods: the Toll Bar refugees", which looked at the plight of a community in the aftermath of the floods of 2007.

She has worked on local newspapers, including the Derbyshire Times and the Northern Echo and was news editor at BBC Radio Sheffield.
