Peter Genower

Peter Genower is a magazine journalist with more than 40 years' experience on consumer titles.

After training with IPC, he worked as a feature writer before gaining his first editorship in 1987 on the newly-launched Chat magazine.

In 1991 he launched and edited What's on TV, which became the UK's best selling title, and from 1998-2002 he edited TVTimes, where he was nominated for BSME Editor of the Year. As an editor, he also chaired the Periodical Training Council´s editorial committee for four years.

Peter has continued to work as a freelance writer, and in recent years has worked as an editorial consultant in the UK and Europe, delivering training workshops to a range of magazine publishers, including IPC Media, Hachette, BBC Worldwide, the Mirror Group, Future Publishing and DC Thomson, and helped develop the PPA's Editorial Diploma.
