Video Recording Facilities for Outreach Resources

We have a recording studio on the Lower Ground Floor for those interested in making a video for our Outreach website www.geokri.org

Echo 360 lecture capturerecording facilities

The Institute has the Echo360 lecture system installed ready for use.

The Echo360 system will capture video from a fixed camera, audio and output from a laptop e.g. PowerPoint slides.

The recording is then edited and made available using a link to the media streaming server. Editing is limited and involves removing unwanted segments, usually 'topping and tailing'. The editing will be done for you.

You need to book the room to make a recording. There is form you need to sign to confirm that any resources used are your own or that you have the owner's permission to use them.

mediaCamcorders

Camcorders are available to use for making a video recording.

These can be professionally edited using the Creative Media Suite in IC  to produce a quality video resource.

Training

Training in the use of these facilities is available, as well as a workshop that provides advice on presenting 'online', includes a practice with camcorders and a demonstration of the Echo 360 system.
