GarrieGarrie Tiedeman, Landscape Architect - Peak District National Park Authority

At eighteen I knew I wanted a career that would allow me to use my creativity and love of the outdoors. In 1975 I headed north and enrolled on the landscape course at Manchester Met. I became a member of the landscape institute in 1983. Currently based in Bakewell working for the Peak District National Park Authority. I soon realised that a career as a Landscape Architect can take some interesting turns. Work at the Peak Park is varied at one time I am developing the parks Landscape strategy, the next consulting with communities on celebrating landscapes and in the same day I can be filming about moorland fires. I have a passion for imaginative, creative design that is out of the box.
