... to the University of Sheffield School of Law.  We are one of the top law schools in the country and our primary aim is to provide you with a fine education which equips you to develop yourself and, importantly, to enter many different spheres of employment.

Once here, you will find you have to take far more responsibility for your own education than was expected by you in your previous studies. We want to educate you to become an independant learner. That is educationally good and excellent preparation for the world of work.

We have developed these webpages to help you, as an Incoming Postgraduate Law Student, to familiarise yourself with the University of Sheffield and the School of Law prior to your arrival at Sheffield in September. Though it is not a definitive resource, it should hopefully give you an idea of what life as a University of Sheffield Law Student will be like.

Facebook Group We have setup the a Law Postgraduates 2013-2014 Facebook group, please join this group and meet fellow students also joining you at Sheffield this September and ask any questions. The group is monitored by some of our current postgraduate students as well as members of the Law School Staff.

EdBram Law Society When you join us in September you can also become a member of the EdBram Law Society. To give you an idea as to what the EdBram Committee does for you as students take a look at the video below.
