The University of Sheffield
Undergraduate

Welcome ...

... to the University of Sheffield School of Law. I am delighted you have achieved the A Level results that have brought you here. We are one of the top law schools in the country and our primary aim is to provide you with a fine education which equips you to develop yourself and, importantly, to enter many different spheres of employment.

University will face you with many challenges, not least of which is the change from school to university-based learning. Once here, you will find you have to take far more responsibility for your own education than was expected by your school. We want to educate you to become an independant learner. That is educationally good and excellent preparation for the world of work.

The School looks forward to welcoming you personally during Intro Week. I hope that you will be very happy as a member of The University of Sheffield School of Law.
