Undergraduate Programmes: How to Apply
All undergraduate applications, whether from the UK or overseas, must be made through UCAS.
The deadline for applications is normally 15 January of the year of entry - please see the UCAS website for details. Offers will be made on the basis of careful review of UCAS forms by our Admissions Selectors. As a general rule we do not interview standard entry candidates.
The University runs pre-application open days so that you can visit Sheffield and the University and gather the information you need before you apply.
Once you have applied and have been made an offer, you will be invited to attend a post-application open day. These open days take place between December and March and you are welcome to bring your parents/guardians. You will have a chance to talk to academics and current students and will also be able to have a look around the campus and visit student accommodation. All this should help you to make an informed decision between your UCAS choices.
Individual Visits
Individual visits to the School of Law can be arranged on request. Contact Jane Hill for information on arranging a personal visit to the School. Jane's contact details are below.
Can I take a gap year?
Gap years aren't a problem. We will be happy to defer your offer at whichever stage of the admissions process if you decide to take a year out before university.
We are not currently planning to use the law admissions tests.
We are able to offer advice to our dyslexic applicants and the university has an advisory service in this regard.
