Academic Profile
I qualified as a solicitor in 1994. Having initially practised in Manchester, I moved to a major national firm based in Leeds in 1998, specialising in advising large companies and also public sector clients. Having left private practice in 2009, I took up a lectureship at Huddersfield University, where I still teach on a part-time basis. I joined the Law School at Sheffield in September 2011.

Teaching and Learning
I am particularly keen to encourage active participation in seminars and LPC class workshops, and to encourage LPC students to maintain a commercial rather than an academic mindset throughout the Course.

The modules I teach are:
| Undergraduate | Legal Practice |
|---|---|
