Current Strategic Development Projects
|
Based on priorities identified in the Learning and Teaching Strategy and at Faculty level, as well as emerging priorities from the external Higher Education environment, funding is allocated to develop a number of strategic learning and teaching projects. These have impact at institutional, faculty and departmental levels and are undertaken with the aim of embedding processes and practice across the University. Activities are funded from the University's own Curriculum Development Fund and HEFCE's Teaching Enhancement and Student Success (TESS) allocation, either as large-scale institutional projects or through annual funding allocated to faculties, and managed through their Learning and Teaching Committees according to faculty priorities. To ensure our students benefit from stimulating and inspiring teaching, and meet the promise to encourage our staff to be creative and innovative, the University encourages new developments and fresh thinking in learning and teaching. If your idea or project does not relate directly to one of the institutional strategic projects, your faculty may have learning and teaching development monies available. In requesting any funds from your faculty, you should be able to show how your project or idea will benefit your department or faculty. For details on funding for departmental/faculty-scale projects, please contact your LeTS faculty contact. Ongoing institution-wide projects supported by LeTS:
