For Students
Studying at University gives you the opportunity to experience a wide range of learning and teaching techniques and practices. You are encouraged to think independently, question ideas and assumptions, and develop new ways of understanding and analysing material. You are given the freedom and resources to deepen your knowledge of a subject, discover answers to questions you have, research topics that interest you and broaden your academic skill set.
To get the most out of your degree, as well as utilising the knowledge delivered through your core programme of study (for example in lectures or seminars) you also need to take an active role and be self-directive in your own learning.
This section highlights everything we offer to help you become actively engaged in your learning both within and outside your degree programme. This could include opportunities to work on learning & teaching developments, having your say about issues that affect your academic life, research experiences, skills development, accessible support and resources and non-curricular awards and achievement.
Opportunities to EngageDevelop your academic skills, broaden your knowledge and have a real impact through various academic-related activities and schemes. |
