Alternative remote access routes
Access to eResources through MUSE is the recommended & fully supported route to the Library's electronic collection both on & off campus. There remain two alternative remote access routes still supported by CiCS but you are advised to access via MUSE:
VPN (Virtual Private network)
VPN can be used with existing Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and broadband connections. Provides access to a wide range of web-based electronic resources, check individual database pages for further details.
RATS (Remote Access to Sheffield)
Remote access dial-in service, similar to subscribing to a commercial Internet Service Provider (ISP).
