Special Collections & Archives opening hours
Collections are for reference use within the Western Bank Library by members of the University of Sheffield, and also by non-members of the University by prior arrangement with Special Collections staff (email lib-special@sheffield.ac.uk or telephone (0114) 222-7299). Proof of identity is required in all cases.
As opening hours may have to be changed at times (due to staff attendance at meetings and other duties, illness, or leave, especially in the Summer vacation) readers are advised to check that access is available prior to making a visit.

On Thursdays and Fridays Archives may be available by prior arrangement with the Special Collections staff: please check in advance that this will be possible as access to archives cannot be guaranteed on Thursdays and Fridays. Other items from Special Collections can be applied for on a strictly timetabled basis to the Counter Supervisor at the Western Bank Library Counter (for details please telephone (0114) 222-7202).
