- Finding information such as books, journals, web pages and reports
- Library-based exercises
- Evaluating the quality of information sources
- Citing and managing references

Information skills resource
The University Library has a collection of tutorials to help you with every aspect of your information requirements from using Google to referencing correctly in the style required by your department. We have guidance for new undergraduates through to postgraduate researchers.
Many of these resources are written specifically for your subject area so that you can be sure that you're getting information which is relevant, up to date and accurate.
Liaison Librarians can offer, by arrangement with Departments, more in-depth library introductions, which can include tours, lecture style presentations, or workshops. These would normally take place soon after the start of the course.
