Getting books & other library materials
| Knowing what you need | Finding it on the shelf |
|
Use the Library catalogue, StarPlus, to locate the materials you need.
See our StarPlus tutorial. Access the reading lists for your modules via MOLE. |
Books are arranged in numerical order by shelfmark. These are decimal, so a book with the number 658.1511 would come before 658.4 on the shelf. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, just ask a member of library staff.

| Borrowing and returning | Requesting |
| You can use our self-service machines to quickly take out and return library materials. You will need your UCard and PIN. Ask a member of staff or student ambassador to show you how. We may email you to return a book if it is wanted by someone else. |

If the library does not stock the item you require the InterLibrary Request Service may be able to obtain it via other suppliers. myDocuments - scanning service for articles from print journals or chapters from books held by the library.
