Special Collections - Reprographics Service
The following information provides general guidance on our reprographics service and charges for material for personal use. If you need further information or require material for commercial use, please contact us (see below).
Requesting copies
Copies are made at the Library’s discretion, and may be supplied as photocopies or as digital images. Copies will normally be supplied within 15 working days. All material supplied is for research purposes or personal use only.
Charges
A £5 handling fee is charged to cover all transactions. Further fees are calculated on the basis of the costs given below. We will provide an assessment of total costs if you require.

Digital images - material already existing in digital format:
May be supplied by email or on disc at a cost of 25p per image.
Digital images - material needing to be newly scanned or photographed:
May be supplied by email or on disc at a cost of £3 per image.
Payment
Payment for services and materials is required in advance and can be completed via credit/debit card over the telephone, or we can accept cheques made payable to the University of Sheffield. Please note that at present we do not accept PayPal.
Copyright
Any copying must comply with copyright law, and you will be asked to complete a copyright declaration form stating the terms under which the copy is made. If we are able to supply the copies you require, we will ask you to print off the form, complete and sign it, and return it to us by post (Address details below)
Cameras
At the Library’s discretion, you can use your own mobile phone camera or digital camera (without flash) free of charge. As with all copying, this must conform to copyright law and you will need to fill in a copyright declaration form.
