ESRC funded seminar series
These pages contain material relating to this seminar series, which took place from 2002 2004. The seminar series aimed to develop a shared theoretical framework for emergent work on literacy and popular culture in the UK, focusing on both out-of-school arenas and the literacy curriculum.
The series consisted of six seminars and a final one-day conference. This website includes the programme for all of the seminars in the series, links to relevant papers and a bibliography of texts relating to the theme of popular culture and literacy.
