The IDC in Machining Science is an EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training funding doctoral research to improve the machining of metals, alloys and composite materials. Machining Science research is vital to the UK's continuing dominance and expansion in many areas of High Value Manufacturing (e.g. automotive, aerospace, watchmaking, medical engineering), where there are major challenges in machining complex components from high performance materials.  More about Machining Science and HVM >
