Social and Business Networking Events

As an alumnus of the Management School you will be invited to attend our programme of expert lectures. Co-organised with CMI (Chartered Management Institute) and the Association of MBAs (AMBA) you can expect a lively range of contemporary topics. The annual Sheffield Management Lecture has seen Sir Digby Jones, Lord Browne and most recently Sir Roger Bone, UK President of Boeing.

Alumni reunions take place throughout the year, both UK and overseas. During 2012 we hosted alumni events in Mumbai and Bangalore, in India as well as Beijing and Shanghai in China, and in London. See the calendar of events here.

We have many talented MBA and Masters students looking for opportunities to work with your business or organisation. It may be that you are considering a new market opportunity and want to evaluate its potential.

The University of Sheffield Enterprise (USE)

(USE) brings people together to make your business ideas happen. This could involve business planning, scenario modelling, organising an event or setting up a business. USE is here to here to mentor and support you. As a graduate you are entitled to access to USE and the free services they offer up to 5 years after graduating. See the USE website here

Continuing Careers Support

Looking for a new challenge? Our Careers team will continue to support you for 3 years after your graduate. Find out more by visiting the Careers Service here. You are welcome to attend careers events and talks on campus.

Library and information resources

Our external borrower service gives you free access to 1.3 million books – and many journals - from Western Bank Library, St. George's Library, and the Health Sciences Library (based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital and the Northern General Hospital). Find out more here.

Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter

Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) is the international honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a business program accredited by AACSB International.

Alumni Discounts

Graduates are entitled to a £500 bursary if they wish to study for a Masters or MBA programme at the University. See more about scholarships here.

Alumni of the University become life members of our award-winning Students Union, can continue to use the University libraries and have subsidised access to our Sports facilities and to events such as our concert programmes.
