MGTT175 - MSc in Global Marketing Management (recruiting for 2013 entry)
Course Overview
This programme is for graduates from any disciplinary background seeking to develop a career in marketing within an international context. The programme is jointly delivered between the Sheffield University Management School and Hong Kong Baptist University. You’ll acquire a good understanding of both the theory and practice and a blend of case studies and assignments will help to develop your applied marketing skills. You’ll study nine marketing modules and undertake a project dissertation.You’ll learn about marketing management, global marketing, international consumer behaviour, integrated marketing communications, contemporary marketing practices, international marketing research, international services marketing, strategic marketing and socially responsible marketing in an international context. You will spend the first semester of your studies in Sheffield, UK and the second in Hong Kong, People’s Republic of China. Non-Hong Kong graduates of the programme can apply to stay and work in Hong Kong for 12 months after graduation.
Enrolment on the programme will automatically allow you to become an Affiliate member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). Completion of the programme gives you a further option of becoming a Chartered Marketer after three years work experience and an additional 35 hours of personal development.

You will need a good degree in any subject (2:1 or higher) or approved professional qualification combined with a desire to learn about principles and practices of marketing. You do not need prior marketing or management experience. IELTS is our preferred test of language. You need an IELTS score of 7, with at least 6 in all the component tests. If you are unable to sit the IELTS, you should take TOEFL. You need iBT 100, with a minimum component score of 23. |

Scholarships - Hong Kong Baptist University
A maximum of four scholarships at the amount of HK$50,000 each will be granted to students with outstanding academic performance at the end of the programme. Students do not need to apply for the scholarship under this merit-based scholarships scheme.
