Dr. Alok Choudhary is a Lecturer in Operations and Supply Chain Management at the Management School of the University of Sheffield. He is also acting as a key member for the Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM) Research Centre. In recent years, he has contributed to several research projects including SYNERGY, TRACKSTORE, SAMULET etc., funded by European Commission (FP7), EPSRC and industries including Rolls-Royce, BAE Systems, Ministry of Defence and TATA Motors Ltd (INDIA) to name a few on topics related to knowledge management (particularly knowledge discovery) and Logistics and Supply Chain management. He has consulting experience with McKinsey & Company. He has been placed in the scientific committee and session chair of several international conferences of repute including recent IEEE INDIN, PROVE-10, IESA-10 and IESM 2011. He has published about 38 papers in leading international journals and conferences. He is also acting as a reviewer of 13 leading international journals. He is involved in training and consultancy activities with the LSCM research centre at the University of Sheffield. He has also received two best paper awards in leading international conferences. He holds a PhD in the area of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from Loughborough University, UK where he received "Lufbra Experience Award" for outstanding contribution to Loughborough University and the Students Union.
Alok is Programme Director for the MSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
His education includes PhD in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Loughborough University, UK, (2009)and Bachelor of Technology, National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology (NIFFT), Ranchi University, India, (2005).
