Nick is a lecturer in entrepreneurship. He has a PhD from the University of Sheffield, and prior to joining he was a lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University.

Research Interests

Nick is a member of the Centre for Regional Economic and Enterprise Development (CREED) and his primary research interest is in entrepreneurship and economic development.

Nick is interested in supervising PhD students in the following areas:

Teaching

Nick is committed to developing his teaching through research, so that student learning is based on cutting edge concepts and evidence. He encourages students to think critically and facilitates independent learning by empowering student engagement. Nick believes in learning that is theoretically and conceptually grounded with a clear empirical focus that is both accessible and relevant to students.

Nick has a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
