Our take on corporate social responsibility (CSR) is straightforward: we're trying to make things better.
Because we care about our community and the world, we try to operate in a sustainable way, minimising our impact on the environment. We stand up for equality and diversity. If we think carefully about the social and economic impact of our work, we know we can make a difference.
The University of Sheffield is a community where every student and member of staff matters. Working together, we're a powerful resource with the potential to make a difference.
Our goals
We want to ensure the University meets the objectives set out in its environmental policy, and its policy on other key social and economic agendas. We want to raise awareness and to encourage a sense of shared responsibility. We want to do this by bringing together CSR initiatives across the University under one name: BeCause.
