Scope of Conference
Since 1991 the Deformation and Fracture of Composites series has provided an unrivalled opportunity to discuss the issues and impact of composite materials on different industry sectors. Attracting high quality papers and delegates from industry, research associations and universities worldwide, the series successfully brings together researchers from a variety of backgrounds to discuss common interests. Focussing on research and developments in the area of deformation, damage and fracture phenomena in polymer based composite materials, the conference will enable selected industry representatives to share their ideas. Offering a full and varied programme of oral and poster presentations along with the opportunity for invaluable networking, this forum offers you the chance to update and impart your knowledge and experience. The conference will have the support of both the IoMMM and IMechE.
A special session on Interfaces will be held to celebrate Prof Frank Jones 65th Birthday and his contributions to the subject.
Conference Dinner
The Conference dinner is on Thursday April 16th, in the Millenium Gallery at 7pm. At The Reception of the Conference Dinner delegates and guests will be entertained by music from the Ambassadors 12 piece swing band which includes Prof Frank Jones on baritone sax.
