Writing Support for Students with Dyslexia	The ELT Centre in collaboration with staff at LDMU and with funding from a Learning and Teaching Development Grant, have developed an online writing skills resource, designed specifically for students with dyslexia. It incorporates multisensory features, eg, images and audio, and has interactive tasks with online feedback to promote independent learning. The resource covers aspects of writing that many students with dyslexia find difficult. However, it could also benefit other students at the University, who may need to improve their writing skills. Currently, it is accessed via the ELT Centre home page, or SSID home page.

Sheffield University Nightline	Sheffield University Nightline is part of a national network of Nightlines run by universities throughout the country. It is a voluntary service run by students from the University of Sheffield, with financial support from the Union, Millennium Volunteers and the Alumni Foundation. Its volunteers are trained in active listening techniques, so you can talk to them about anything you need to.
