Doctoral Training Centre in Functional Materials & Devices

'From Materials to Devices'

Open Day Monday 25th February 2013

In February, the Engineering & Physical Science Research Council (EPSRC) will open the call for a new round of Centres for Doctoral Training (CDTs). CDTs offer more focussed technical and non-technical training over a 4 year PhD programme in EPSRC priority areas, one of which has been identified as ‘Functional Materials’. This open day will outline how the ‘Doctoral Training Centre in Functional Materials & Devices’ plans to drive innovation in SMEs and OEMs in the functional materials and device sector by providing interdisciplinary PhD level research and training within integrated laboratories that house state of the art equipment for materials synthesis, processing, device design/modelling and characterization.
