We utilise our state-of the art research facilities to ensure that you are trained at the forefront of your discipline.
As we have more than 30 academic staff working across a wide spectrum of materials and techniques from tissue engineering to nanotechnology, surface imaging to bioinstrumentation, materials simulation to the manufacture of liquid crystals we are able to offer an exciting range of multidisciplinary courses.
As a multidisciplinary department, we are a hub for faculty-wide, interdisciplinary study in, for example, biomedical engineering and aerospace materials.
As a student in the Engineering Materials department, you will have the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge required for a variety of scientific and engineering careers. Alongside technical skills, we will help you to develop the transferable and professional skills that major employers are looking for.
We look forward to seeing you on one of our Open Days. Please contact Mrs T Sampson for further information.
